Before Your Colonic
 
In the 24-48 hours or more prior to your Colon Hydrotherapy session, I suggest that you eat primarily vegetables, fruits, grains and other fiber (See Nut Recipe). Soft foods are your best bet for better detoxification results, as they allow the body to focus less on digestion and more on detoxification.(See list of Soft Foods). Cut out the whites (sugar, flour, rice) as well as sodas, alcohol, red meats and dairy products so you get the most benefit for your money and efforts, and try the nut and master cleanse recipes below. Drinking 6 - 8 glasses of water (filtered or distilled) daily will also assist in the cleansing process. On the day of your session eat lightly, mostly vegetables, fruits, and juices. Unless you are on a special regimen*, limit water intake and stop drinking 3 hours prior to your session.  Do not eat in the 2 hours immediately prior to your appointment either. Once you arrive at my office, I’ll ask you to prepare for the session by emptying your bladder. After that you will undress from the waist down, put on a gown and/or shorts. A drape will also be placed over you as well. *If your diet is medically supervised, please disregard any contradictory suggestions and adhere to your doctor's requirements.
Avoid gas-forming foods before and after your appointment. Bananas beans, broccoli, cabbage, carbonated beverages, cauliflower, cucumbers, melons, raw apples or onions, peppers, and unripe fruit typically trigger gas.
Applying a castor oil pack for an hour, three days in a row before your appointment will help loosen and soften fecal matter in the colon, encourage the liver to release toxins and provide for a most effective colonic.
Breathing and being relaxed are extremely important during our session. Try to give yourself plenty of time to get to your appointment, so you don’t feel rushed. Please call me if you think you will be late. 707-972-0692
 
Nut Recipe:
3 cups falx seed
2 cups of raw sunflower seeds
1 cup of raw almonds
 
To make a smaller quantity
1 cup of flaxseed
2/3 cup of raw sunflower seeds
1/3 cup of raw almonds
In a regular clean coffee grinder, grind the nuts, then mix together and store in refrigerator, in glass container or sealed plastic bags.It is suggested to take 1-2 tablespoons per day, you can sprinkle the nuts over rice, salads, pasta, fruits, vegetables or mix in protein juices, oatmeal…
Benefits - This nut mixture is a great source of protein, essential fatty acids, minerals, and fiber at the same time as being an anti-ageing mixture
Master Cleanse:
2 Tbsp. Fresh lemon or lime juice
2 Tbsp. Pure maple syrup
1/10 Tsp. Powdered cayenne pepper
10 ounces of purified water.
This helps decrease excess mucous in the body.

Baked yams & squash (without skins)
Eggs (poached or boiled)
Grains (brown rice, quinoa, millet, amarinth..)
Soups:  fresh, homemade is best
Miso soup
Honey, agave nectar, or maple syrup as sweetener
Nut milks (soak and blend) almonds, pecans, and walnuts, grain milks (NO SOY, hard on digestion)
Coconut milk and young coconut "spoon meat"
